How long is a training session?
 

A one-on-one training session normally lasts 45 minutes.  I always recommend that my clients show up at least 10 minutes early in order to warm-up.  This prevents the loss of valuable training time.

Is there an initial orientation? 

Absolutely!  This is actually the very first training session.  This session, however, may last as long as 2 hours.   The orientation is where we get to know one another a little better.  All necessary forms and documents will be completed, i.e., medical history, exercise history, etc..  A complete body analysis will also be conducted.  It's here where we find out just how much lean tissue (muscle) you're carrying.  You will get more information in this session alone than in most other complete training programs!!

Who are your clients? 

Basically, people that are ready to make a difference in their lives.  Whether they want to lose bodyfat, gain lean tissue, or just want to feel better.  My clientele range in age from 13 to 79 in both genders.  I consider ALL my clients athletes.  Yes, some of my clients need specialized training for their sport of choice and military training obligations.  This brings us to our next question...

What does training provide? 

This is different for each client.  After the initial orientation a client assessment, which includes flexibility as well as muscular and cardiovascular strength and endurance, will be conducted.  After these first 2 sessions we can start to determine the best course of action in order to meet your fitness goals.

You will learn all the strength equipment as well as the cardiovascular machines available, whether at your home or gym, or my fitness center.  Your program will include strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular training.  You will learn the proper and safe way to work your muscles.  Nutritional guidelines will also be incorporated into your overall program.

What if I'm not in your local area? 

Even if you're not in my area, I can provide on-line training.  All forms will be sent to you electronically for your convenience.  I can calculate your bodyfat percentage.  Males provide height, weight and waist measurement in inches.  Females provide height, weight, waist, hip and right forearm and right wrist measurements in inches.  In order to provide you with the freedom of working out whenever and wherever you can get my exclusive training programs electronically as well.

How long would we work together? 

This one is different for everyone as well.  I have some clients that have been with me for years and some just after a few sessions.  One big factor to consider is your budget.  I NEVER give a sales pitch.  I don't like getting them so I don't give'em.  Most of my clients sign up for 6 sessions at a time (6-pack).  Even though they love me, their budget may say otherwise.  This is totally understandable.  I give ALL my departing clients a workout routine so they can continue on a lifestyle of fitness.  Believe it or not,  I try to get rid of you as soon as possible!!  Wow, that was nasty!!!!  No, I don't mean it that way.  My main purpose and goal for my clients is to empower them so they can make the right decisions to keep up there fitness endeavors.  Some come back for a session a month just to get their routines updated and to ensure we're continually heading in the right direction.

Who are you? 

I have been a fitness enthusiast for over 40 years.  No, I'm not pushing antiquity!  I was very involved in school and organized community sports.  I retired from the United States Air Force in 1997 and reside right outside McGuire AFB, NJ (exit 7 on the turnpike!).  I've been certified as a fitness training professional since 2004 with the International Sports and Sciences Association (ISSA).  In 2007 I received my Master Trainer Certificate from Dr. Jack Barnathan and NY Strength.  In June of 2009, the ISSA awarded me with Master of Fitness Sciences.  I am also a trained wellness coach.  I am a student of fitness.  I never stop learning.  As Dr. Fred Hatfield (Dr. Squat) has said, "I bow at the feet of science".

What are your fees?

                     Plan C - 2 Sessions/Wk (Total 8 per month) - $440.00
                      (Each session is approximately 45 minutes)

How do I become a fitness training professional? 

This one's easy.  Of course I'm biased, but I did much research on the many different certifying companies out there.  And, believe me, there's a lot!!  But the only one that impressed me was the ISSA.  Go to their website and check it out for yourself.
