No Fads, No Gimmicks, Just Science

YES!  YOU MADE IT!!!!!  WELCOME!!!

Quote of the Day: Be thou the rainbow in the storms of life. The evening beam that smiles the clouds away, and tints tomorrow with prophetic ray.” - Lord Byron

Hi everyone and a very Happy New Year! Ernie Razzano here. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit. Your timing is PERFECT! Why you ask?! Because there's no time like the present to get moving!

Whatever your reasons for joining us here today, rest assured I do want to help.  It's not easy going it alone. Having to answer to somebody keeps you motivated. Allow me be that somebody.

Fitness is a lifelong commitment. Doing things that you enjoy doing. It's not a 2 month endeavor.  Take your time and peruse our site.
I'm positive you'll like what you see and read.

Now you may be here because you've seen me on Facebook (, Twitter (, or LinkedIn (

I'm also at many health career fairs where I come into contact with hundreds of people seeking advice about wellness.

But whatever your reason, rest assured, I CAN HELP!!

It's so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day stuff. It's so easy to allow the days to slide by you without really engaging yourself. It may be fun. It may be relaxing.

But those days turn into a week... Which turns into a month... Which turns into a year... Pretty soon another year has passed and you haven't accomplished anything of note... and you're not a single step closer to achieving your goals and dreams.

It doesn't have to be this way!

You have goals for health and fitness.  It's time to finally strive for what you really want in life.

After all, it IS too short!

What have you decided to do to make a difference in your life?  Anything?  You did?!  But you quit?  Yea, I've heard that story plenty of times.

Why? - Simple, too much, too fast.  Whether it's your body, your health, a less-than-satisfying habit, you pick it.  It can't and won't be done overnight.  Accept that fact and don't get caught up in the hype! Baby steps my friend, baby steps.

Again, my name is Ernie Razzano and I want to thank you for stopping by!!  For those of you who have been here before, welcome back!!  If this is your first visit you're in for quite a ride.

I am a Dual Master Certified  Training Professional and Lifestyle Design Consultant. I own and operate Body By Razz, LLC.

With fitness and wellness as the goal, I chose the International Sports and Sciences Association (ISSA), an organization well-known in the industry.  Starting with science and building wellness with that as the foundation, is something I am truly passionate about.

In 1998, the ISSA challenged the fitness world with it's declaration that Fitness MUST include 3 essential components: Intelligent dietary choices, Cardiovascular Fitness, and Strength (resistance) Training, which was considered pretty radical.  Well, the United States Government released a new series of fitness recommendations including ALL three components!!

The ISSA is also the FIRST AND ONLY Fitness organization to earn national accreditation through the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC), which is listed by the U.S. Department of Education (USDoE) as a nationally recognized accrediting agency, and is a recognized member of The Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).  This allows the ISSA to move from a .COM domain to a .EDU domain as controlled by the United States Department of Commerce upon approval of the United States Department of Education!!  This has opened up the ISSA as being an official educational provider listed in the DANTES catalog approved for all armed forces, veterans and their spouses.

I am extremely proud that I am part of the organization that created the vision for the entire industry.

If you are interested in becoming a Certified Fitness Training Professional you can contact me direct.

So, who are you trusting to get fitness advice from?  The big guy at the gym?  The latest issue of Muscle Head Magazine?  The cute girl at the gym's Smoothie bar?  Hey, we've all been there!

The statistics on physical inactivity and overweight and obesity may paint a pretty grim picture, but don’t be discouraged. The good news is that there is room for improvement in the way we live, work, and play and that only means that we have the ability to make things change for the better.  Let's work together and allow me to help you or someone you know get into a lifestyle of fitness.

Now, that being said, let me ask you a few of questions.  Of course, they may be rhetorical, but hey, who knows!

Why do we see such a prevalence of type 2 diabetes?

Why does obesity in our country continue to increase?

Why has metabolic syndrome been categorized as a disease?

Tell me why, as we enter mid-life, insulin resistance, hypercholesterolemia, hypertension and hypothyroidism are now accepted afflictions?

Why do we insist that fast food joints provide healthy meals and nutritional information?

Who in the heck ever said fast food was healthy?!  Who's forcing people into the drive-thru lanes?

Did you know that only 4% of health club membe
rs show up at least 3 times per week during their membership time frame?

Why are extra-large size clothing the predominant size sold on home-shopping networks?
Why do these same networks make a fortune on diet programs, exercise gadgets, and weight-loss aids and yet we're still the fattest nation on earth?!!

No longer are people thinking rationally about their health.  Our society now expects the government to mange our health!!  We want for a pill, or a product manufacturer to finally develop a fix-all.

You need  to be rescued from your TV, e-mail boxes, and magazines.

My point is this:  There are guaranteed ways to get fit; without fads or gimmicks.  I'm not into this month's fad or the diet dujour.  As a Certified Master Fitness Consultant, what I am interested in is science!!  I'll give you straight answers, and the whole truth.

'You Won't Care How Much I Know, Until You Know How Much I Care!'

There are going to be things you read that you're gonna love!  On the other hand, there will be other items you will totally disagree with.  You may even find yourself challenging what I say.  You know what, give me your best shot.

This is not an ordinary website.  You know, the ones that provide so-called "expert advice" but you have no way of questioning any of it.  Not here.  Ask questions and get answers, from a real person, FREE.   You can afford "free", can't you? Just go to the "Request Info" page and complete the contact form.  I'll not only address your questions but also add you to my mailing list. You will receive up-to-date info on the latest and greatest in the field of health and wellness

Why am I doing this?  Because I know there's too many con artists and scammers out there preying on those who need help the most.  I'm disgusted with all the crap!!!

My contact info is on the bottom of every page.
I want to hear your thoughts and ideas.  I love a challenge and I'm challenging you!

Go through the site and enjoy.  Then, if you feel inspired, or even just curious, contact me.  I am here to provide the guidance you need.

You may even want to see something added to the site.  Have a great recipe, exercise, nutrition tidbit?  Just let me know.  I'm open to suggestions!  My contributor list is growing everyday!!  You name it, I have folks giving me their best.

Enjoy!!  I'm looking forward to working with you!!!

                                    DEDICATED TO THE DEDICATED
Wellness Tip:

New Year's resolutions are an ancient tradition that continues to this day. The Babylonians started each year with pledges to pay debts and return borrowed items. The Romans began their year by promising the two faced god, Janus, that they would behave better.

In modern societies, many people still promise to make changes as the new year dawns; this desire, in many cases, is fueled by the excesses of the holiday period.

Most commonly, it would seem, New Year's resolutions revolve around weight loss, quitting smoking, reducing drinking, and exercising more.

An impressive 77% managed to hold to their pledges for 1 week, but the success rate dropped to 19% over 2 years. Although that is a substantial drop out rate, it means that 1 in 5 of those participants achieved their goal.

The key to successful resolutions is to focus on replacing unhealthful items with healthful ones, rather than buying both.

That is sound advice, but not necessarily easy to implement.
